Iron Age Celt (Navan Centre)

This morning we visited the Navan Centre. I dressed up as an Iron Age Celt :) Below are photographs before leaving to go on the adventure.

We had some time to wait before the Living History started so we had a walk around the self-guided tour.  I got earphones too, but I ended up giving them to Bunny to carry for me. Below the photos that Bunny took of me during the self guided tour.  See the sticker on my tunic? That means that I can come and go and see the attractions in the centre in any order.

First I looked through the lens to see close up of Willow, what it looks like under a microscope.

I wanted to sit on top beside the cat, but Bunny said she didn't think I would be allowed. So instead, I sat on the ground.

Then I sat in front of the bucket in this part of the exhibit.  It looks like the man is talking to me :) It's not a real man.

They had books my size :) I read this one, it was called The Children of Lir. I love to read books.

Afterwards we still had some time before the Living History started. Bunny sat down and got some coffee to drink.  I sat in the window and looked out and watched people walk past.

It wasn't long before it was time to go to see the Living History.  The man who was an Iron Age Celt, walked by saying hello to everyone. He took one look at me and said "That's a funny looking cat!" They thought Bunny had come to trade because of her big bag. *giggles* It was funny, then they invited us into their home. They told me, Bunny and the other people there how their home was built and how they lived.  They asked us where we all were from, they were glad there was no-one from Connaught, because they said they didn't like Connaught people. They were happy to hear that we were from Ulster :) Then they invited us outside and showed us their weapons :) They looked scary but it was okay, Bunny held my paw and told me I would be safe.

I got some goodies with my pocket money :) A new bracelet and a patch for my travelling bag.

Afterwards we walked to the Navan Fort for a surprise that we are planning for tomorrow. So make sure you check back tomorrow! :)

A Boy And His Box

Today we went to the local theatre to see a show. It was called A Boy And His Box, I did not know what it would be like but Bunny said that is part of going on an adventure.  We had to wait for a short time before we were allowed into the theatre. Though lots of lovely people talked to us and I met a bear who was from a school, his name was Barnaby. Barnaby the Bear, we had a lovely talk while we waited to get in to see the show.

A Boy and His Box - review by Thomas Marshal the Lion

There was a man with a box on the stage and their was another man in front of a desk.  Then we saw things appear on the big screen behind the man! Whatever the man at the desk drew it appeared on the screen in front of us. I asked Bunny how that happened, she said it was magic! :) It's about a boy and that you don't need really expensive toys or lots of toys to have fun.  He had LOTS of fun with only a cardboard box! It was very funny and we laughed a lot.  If you have not seen it yet, I would tell you to go see it. NOW! Go!   Bunny loved it too :)

After the show I wanted to talk to the men, so Bunny carried me down the steps to see them. I said Hello to the nice man and asked him his name. He said he was called Patrick, I told him I loved his drawings and he smiled and said thank you.  He said that the other man was called Dan. Then he placed me on his desk and I showed up on the big screen :) I looked like I was coming out of the box, I laughed and Bunny took a photo.

Then I got a photo taken with them both! Patrick is the man in the black hat and Dan is the one in the red hat.

I gave Patrick one of my cards and told him I was going to be writing a review. He said that he would look it up and read it. I hope he likes it! :) They said the loved my Star Wars t-shirt and my jeans. Bunny turned me over and said "Look! He's got Star Wars written on the bottom of his jeans" I wish she would stop showing people that, but they laughed so it was okay.

Then afterwards we went out of the theatre room and we saw Barnaby the Bear again. He wanted a photo with the both of us. Below is a photo with Barnaby the Bear.

I had a really fun adventure today :) I met new friends, meeting new friends is always fun.

Invasion Belfast VI

Today was the day for the Star Wars event adventure! :) It was a long day, we got up at 7am and didn't get back after the adventure until nearly 5pm. We got the bus from Armagh to Belfast which took an hour and a half. I was still sleepy, so I had a nap on the way down. Next thing I knew Bunny woke me up because we were outside the Odyssey :) We had to queue for AGES to get into W5, but it was worth it.

Below are photographs of me in my Sith Stalker costume before we left Bunny's burrow.

These first two photographs were taken while we were in the queue waiting to get into W5.

Then we got into W5, we took a quick look at the trader stands before going to see the costume and prop area :)

DARTH VADER!!

The Emperor held me! *grins*

As you can see from the above photographs nearly everyone tried to kill me, which is something I've got used to.

I also got my autograph book signed! :D  First I met Alan Ruscoe he was Plo Koon and Daultay Dofine in The Phantom Menace. Bunny asked him if he would mind posing for a photograph with me and he agreed :) It was funny, because he leaned his head on the top of mine :)

Then I met Michael Carter he was Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi. He signed my autograph book before posing for a photograph with me.

Before we left, we went back and looked at the trader stands and I got a patch for my travelling bag :) Though I only got one because I only had enough pocket money for one. I have got two travelling bags now, so I have to decide which one I want it on.

I had a really fun day and I enjoyed myself a lot! Though I was tired and had a nap on the bus back to Armagh.

Below is a photo of me, tucked up in bed with the patch I got with my pocket money. It's red! :)

Pancake Day!

Today is Pancake Tuesday :) Hilla made pancakes, I watched her but wasn't allowed to help. Hilla said I would get pancake batter all over myself and I would have to go into the washing machine. I ran up to Bunny's room screaming that I didn't want to go into the washing machine.  When Hilla had some made she came up to the room with some for me :)

Here is a photograph of me eating a pancake that Hilla made. She put butter and sugar on them, they were very very yummy! I LOVE pancakes. I hope Hilla makes some more soon.

Do you like pancakes? What do you like to have on them, do you like butter and sugar like me?

Planet Aliens!

I had a mini adventure today! Bunny came up to the room and told me that Anya cat was in the living room. I jumped out of bed and ran down the hall and into the living room. Bunny helped me up onto the sofa and I sat on my spot and stroked Anya cat.

Then I lay down beside her, I don't think she was too happy. Though she was purring, Bunny said that was a sign that she liked me.

Then I talked to Anya cat, I think at this point she just wanted to be left alone to sleep. So I left her and got ready for my adventure.

Then it was time to go on our adventure! I climbed into my travelling bag and Bunny helped me out of it when we reached the Planetarium.  We arrived there around midday, we were told that the tickets for Planet Aliens, for the first showing were all taken but we could get some for the 1:15 showing so we got our tickets then we had a look around the Planetarium.  I went back into the room where they had the 3D wall and put on 3D glasses so I could see the wall.

Then I wanted to see the big meteorite again, Bunny said I had to put the 3D glasses back in the box before we left the room. After I put them back we walked up the stairs to the see the meteorite. I love looking at it, it is very heavy but it fell from space which is very cool.

Bunny was thirsty so we walked back downstairs to the cafe, she got a coffee.  I'm not allowed coffee, but I got a chocolate bar! It was called a Milky Way and it was yummy :) Here is a photo of me eating my chocolate bar.

We still had time so I went back into the room where the 3D wall was and they had some books on a table. I stood on one of the stools and read a book while we waited :) It was a lovely book about a dragon who visited a family and had tea with them.

We STILL had time before the Planet Aliens show, Bunny decided to get us tickets for one of the shows on in the digital theatre so we got tickets to see a show called Beyond the Blue which was on after the Planet Aliens. The nice man behind the desk said that I would enjoy it. Then on the way back I posed for this photograph.

A lady who worked in the Planetarium walked by us while we were waiting and said that we were patiently waiting. I told her I wanted to go and see it NOW! She laughed and said I had to wait, Bunny told it would be worth the wait.

Lots of people stopped and talked to us, it was fun! They asked was I a mascot from a school and I said no, that I was Bunny's friend and I went on adventures.  Then it was finally time to go see the show Planet Aliens. It was SO much fun! I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but I learnt the colours of the rainbow! Oh, and we had to hold paws, the lady who was sitting next to me held my paw and Bunny held onto my other paw. I also learnt some of the stars in the sky, but they had big long confusing words and I only remember Leo, which is the Lion.  Bunny thinks it might be on again in the future, if so she said she might take a different one from the stuffie family with her as they have never been to Armagh Planetarium.

After the show we went to take a look upstairs and I took a photograph of this model of the International Space Station.

I have seen it pass over the Burrow on clear nights but this is what it looks like :) Then we sat down in the queue and waited for the show, Beyond the Blue in the digital theatre.  The lady took my ticket, teared off the stub and gave it back to me. She laughed and told us that she hopes we enjoy the show.

Then we went flying! :) So much fun, I learnt more about the stars and the night sky and how to spot them in the night sky. It was lots of fun. Then the show was over, on the way out I saw a bear! I went over to him and shook his paw and asked him his name.  He said he was called Alfie and that he was a mascot from a local primary school, we hugged and chatted then I shook his paw again and we left. On the way out I got a postcard of The Orion Nebula for my art journal.

Then we walked a LONG way to a zippy place to get the inside zip of my travelling bag fixed. The lady behind the counter took my bag away and I cried, but Bunny said she was going to fix it and gave me a cuddle. She said the lady wouldn't be long. She wasn't! She fixed the zip in my travelling bag, so that I can now keep my business cards in it. Then Bunny told her that she had a friend who had some baby clothes that she was going to give to Bunny for me. They wouldn't fit and could she amend them to fit me.  The lady said yes that could be done, but I would have to come in for a fitting. This made her and Bunny laugh lots, so I will have to go back one day to get a fitting done. Bunny asked if I had to make an appointment, she laughed and said no that I could go straight into the fitting rooms :)

Next we went into the local theatre and we got tickets to see two shows. The Boy in the Box and Jungle Book :) I told Bunny I wanted to write reviews about them, she laughed and said I could do that.

When we left the theatre I was getting sleepy so I climbed back into my travelling bag and had a nap. Bunny took this photo of me while I was napping.

When I got back to the Burrow, I told Hilla all about my adventure today.
