Navan Centre and Fort Part 2

This post follows on from Navan Centre and Fort

When we left the Navan Fort itself, we walked back towards the Navan Centre. We passed people making a wicker man! It was huge! Bunny said we might return for them burning it at the start of August, but she'll have to see. I hope we can return :)

I climbed trees! :)

There is a lake there too! Here I am in front of the lake with lillypads where froggies sit on behind me. We didn't see any froggies though.

Then I climbed this tree, it has got the lake in the background :)

The next tree I climbed, was really tall! I couldn't see them building the wicker man but I could when I was up this tree! :)

Then we went back inside and got a glass of water and waited for the living history people! These people are great! I loved them :) Learned lots about how it was to live many years ago and we got to taste the herb Sorrel and smell Feverfew! We weren't allowed to eat it because it is bad for us but we could boil it in teas :) Sorrel did taste lovely though a bit sour but it was okay. Then we went inside their home and they told us all about how they built it and how they made flour and everything! Then we went back outside and we were told other stuff too, I can't remember it all, but it was fun! :)

Then we left there and went back into the Navan Centre for the next part of my adventure. I saw a golden throne so I sat on it!! :)

King Thomas Marshal! <giggles>

We went inside a self-guided tour and the lady gave me headphones too! :) Next pics are of me inside the self-guided tour.

I made a jigsaw! It's very big and took me ages to do, but isn't the pattern pretty? :)

Before we left me and Bunny played Connect 4 :) I was yellow, she was green and I won! :) I did a happy dance :D
Then we went into the cinema bit, it was a video telling about the history of Navan Fort and the people involved. I got scared at one point but it was okay. There were images on the walls during the video and I took a pic of one of the images, because if it looked really good in the dark :)

It's of a bull! It was during the storytelling of the White Bull of Connacht and the Brown Bull of Ulster. It was fun and I enjoyed the video.

Then it was time to leave but I got a souvenir of my visit! I got a blue Celtic knotwork leather band :)  Blue is the colour of the warrior! :) Below is pic of me sitting on one of the stones outside the Navan Centre and Fort showing off my pretty new band :)

I hope we can visit the Navan Centre and Fort soon :) I'm going to have a nap now, I'm very sleepy.

Distance Travelled today (from Armagh): 5 miles
